Australian Dance Theatre: Educator Professional Development
Internationally renowned and Adelaide based company, Australian Dance Theatre (ADT) invites educators to join them for an afternoon of professional learning.

Australian Dance Theatre has been creating and performing exceptional contemporary dance across the country and around the world since 1965 and is the country’s oldest contemporary dance company. Led by Artistic Director, Wiradjuri man Daniel Riley, ADT are currently on tour, sharing their work Marrow with audiences across the nation.
Delivered in two parts, the session will first discuss ADT’s vision and commitment to the presentation of work reflective of Australia’s diverse voice, landscapes and histories, and delve into themes of Marrow.
The second will consist of practical activities to immerse educators in company tasking and improvisation practices to explore the company’s approach to creating new Australian work.
The session is led and facilitated by ADT’s Learning Manager, Adrianne Semmens and Company Artists and is framed by connections to the Australian Curriculum. The workshop is open to dance teachers at all levels teaching in schools, privately or commercially.
